LEAD AWARENESS - SAFETY & TRAINING and PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT

• PURPOSE:
  To provide lead workers and key personnel with information and strategies appropriate to ensure employee health and safety and O.S.H.A. standard compliance where exposure or potential exposure to lead contaminants occur.
  
  
• SUGGESTED ATTENDEES:
  Owners, managers and supervisors of companies whose work involves demolition, repair, and/or renovation of buildings, bridges, tanks and other structures which may be coated with or contain lead or lead-based contaminants. This is in compliance with the provisions of (O.S.H.A.) 29 CFR 1926.62 Lead Standard for Construction.
  
  
• LENGTH OF SEMINAR:
  
  • 1 day (8 hours) - workers
    
  • < day (4 hours) - supervisors/management - in addition to worker course.

  4. Sources of occupational exposure
  5. Exposure limits and monitoring
  6. Engineering and workplace controls

  8. Medical surveillance and removal
  9. Hygiene and facilities
  10. Record-keeping requirements
  11. Lead paint abatement strategies and procedures
  
  
• GENERAL:
  Seminar(s) include an in-depth discussion of 29 CFR 1926.62 and its application by O.S.H.A. to construction. Hands-on experience with various levels of individual ppe, and many commercial lead sampling and abatement products.
  
  
• PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT:
  Safety Systems will create your formal Lead Safety Program and train your workers and supervisors in its implementation. Site specifics will be included to customize the training to your site needs. Fee based on time required. Call for details.
